Strengthening Academic Bridges Between Georgia and Czechia

As part of CZU’s ongoing efforts to expand international cooperation, we are pleased to highlight the growing partnership between the Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources (FAFNR), CZU Prague, and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), Georgia.

We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Tea Gergedava, Head of Foreign Relations at TSU, for her continued support in nominating talented Georgian students to pursue their studies at FAFNR within the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme.

In this context, FAFNR had the honor of welcoming Professor Dr. Jaba Samushia, Rector of TSU, and Dr. Erekle Astakhishvili, Vice-Rector, during their official visit to the faculty. A productive meeting with Prof. Ing. Josef Soukup, CSc., Dean of FAFNR, provided an excellent opportunity to discuss future collaboration, opening new avenues for joint academic initiatives, student mobility, and long-term institutional cooperation.

This visit marks another important step in strengthening academic ties between Georgia and Czechia and reinforces our shared commitment to international education and research excellence.
