In July 2026, Zuzana Hubená, a student of Landscape Architecture, completed a four-week International Summer School at the renowned Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea.
During this intensive program, she attended a course focused on fundamentals of Korean language and a specialized course K-Aesthetics, dedicated to Korean culture, art, aesthetics, and trends in the Korean cosmetics industry. The curriculum combined theoretical lectures, discussions, and independent assignments. Course outputs included writing essays, working on individual and group projects, and creating a marketing presentation. Theoretical knowledge was further enhanced by specialized field trips, such as visits to an aesthetic clinic and concept stores of leading Korean brands Medicube and Sulwhasoo.
The summer school also featured a rich cultural and extracurricular program. In addition to trips to the Demilitarized Zone and the coastal province of Gangwon to explore traditional temples, the student visited numerous historical sites, attended cultural events, and experienced local leisure activities through Buddy programs, allowing her to gain a multi-faceted insight into Korean culture.
The four-week stay at Konkuk University provided the student with valuable international experience. Alongside developing her academic skills, the program contributed to strengthening her independence, improving her language proficiency, and building contacts with students from all over the world. This experience served as significant inspiration for her further academic development and a strong motivation to participate in future international study programs.
