Professor S. Matula and Dr. M. Miháliková recently completed a successful 10-day academic visit to Dhofar University in Oman, held from April 4 to April 15, 2025. The visit was organized by the International Cooperation Office (ICO) in collaboration with the College of Engineering and supported by the ERASMUS+ program.
During their stay, they delivered a series of lectures and hands-on tutorials related to Soil and Water Relationship for civil engineering students, participated in academic meetings with students and staff, and engaged in discussions with university leadership, including Professor Amer Al Rawas, Vice Chancellor of Dhofar University, and Dr. Isam Bahdoor, Dean of the College of Engineering. These exchanges focused on strengthening academic cooperation and exploring future collaboration opportunities.
In addition to academic activities, the program included cultural and educational visits that provided insight into Dhofar’s heritage and natural environment. The visit significantly contributed to strengthening institutional partnerships and fostering international academic exchange. CZU is looking forward to hosting Oman representatives in the spring 2026.
