Phase 1 of admission procedure consists of submitting a duly completed and paid application to study in university information system at the latest by March 6, 2025.
The fee relating to the admission procedure (registration fee) amounts to CZK 850 and is payable at the latest by March 6, 2026.

- Contact the supervisor of the selected topic of the doctoral dissertation thesis. Agree on the conditions for possible future cooperation
- Submit online application
The application to study is accessible on https://is.czu.cz/prihlaska/?lang=en. If you are interested in more study programmes, you need to submit the application to study for each programme separately.
Documents needed when applying for doctoral study programmes
- Professional curriculum vitae including scientific papers published so far
- Two letters of recommendation written in English or Czech (If you attend the admission interview in person, you do not need these letters)
- Master´s diploma in English or Czech
- Overview of your study results from master´s degree in English or Czech (usually in a form of a Transcript of records or diploma supplement). This should include the list of courses you passed during your study, the grades you received, a number of teaching hours per course (per week/or in total).
- Certificate of Recognition of foreign higher education and qualification in the Czech Republic (“Nostrification clause”)
If your Master´s diploma is issued abroad (with the exception of Slovakia, Germany, Slovenia, Poland and Hungary) you need to provide this certificate as part of admission procedure (so-called “Nostrification” – more details on https://www.czu.cz/en/r-9188-study/r-9254-recognition-of-foreign-education/r-17072-validation-of-foreign-university-education-and-qualifications-in-the-cr-so-called-nostrification/noostrification.html). If you have this certificate available at the time of submitting your application, please upload it.

- Pay registration fee
The fee relating to the admission procedure (registration fee) amounts to CZK 850 and is payable at the latest by March 6, 2026. This fee needs to be paid for each submitted application separately; it is not possible to make one joint payment for all applications to studies. The instructions for the payment will appear after the setup of the application on the following link https://is.czu.cz/prihlaska/?lang=en. It is also possible to follow the status of the payment of the registration fee on this link. The fee is non-refundable at any stage of the admission procedure.
