FAPPZ has a long-standing partnership with BOKU (Universität für Bodenkultur Wien), which offers science-focused degree programs. FAPPZ and BOKU even have a joint degree program called Natural Resources Management and Ecological Engineering (NARMEE).
This program focuses primarily on environmental protection, sustainable agriculture, and forestry. As part of the program, students from CZU travel to Vienna, where they spend at least one semester. Upon graduation, they receive a single joint diploma from both universities.
At the beginning of the first semester, students at BOKU have the opportunity to attend an orientation day, where they learn more about studying at the Suchdol campus directly from FAPPZ representatives. “This allows us to meet our future students even before they arrive in Prague. Thanks to this trip, we also strengthen our relationships with local staff and faculty,” says Catherine Portway, head of the International Relations Office, who gave a presentation about CZU to the students and serves as the program coordinator for CZU students. She traveled to BOKU together with Markéta Nejedlá from the Communications and External Relations Department, who used the trip to strengthen ties with the university’s communications staff.
