The Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources (FAPPZ) invites its bachelor’s and master’s students to participate in the international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Green Lagoon, organized by the Marine Research Institute at Klaipeda University, Lithuania.
About the Program
The BIP Green Lagoon focuses on eutrophication in coastal ecosystems of the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. The aim is to understand the causes and consequences of eutrophication and explore potential mitigation solutions such as aquaculture and constructed floating wetlands.
This program combines virtual lectures with on-site fieldwork and laboratory practice. It offers students an excellent opportunity to gain expert knowledge, international experience, and practical skills in environmental research.

- Physical part in Lithuania: June 16–20, 2025

What to Expect
- Interactive virtual lectures on eutrophication and mitigation technologies
- Fieldwork in the Curonian Lagoon and the Nemunas Delta
- Laboratory sessions at the Marine Research Institute
- A visit to the "Shrimp Tower" aquaculture facility and constructed floating wetlands
- Seminars, discussions, and collaboration with international students
Financial Support
Although it may be late to apply for an Erasmus grant through the standard procedure, there may still be opportunities for funding in individual cases. Interested students are advised to contact the faculty’s Erasmus coordinator as soon as possible.
