PROLES Portal: A Source of Information on Forest Management in the 21st Century

A new information platform for everyone interested in Czech and global forests and forestry has been launched. The new PROLES portal was created by experts from the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture. It focuses on the latest knowledge about risks facing forests, such as windstorms, pests, fires and invasive species, as well as ways to address them.

BioPhys Spring 2026: A Conference for Young Scientists and Doctoral Students

On 28–29 May 2026, the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague hosted the international workshop, 24th International Workshop for Young Scientists – BioPhys Spring 2026. This conference is held annually and is co-organized by the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, the Polish Institute of Agrophysics PAS in Lublin, the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and the Institut Teknologi Nasional in Bandung, Indonesia.

University Eights: Silver for the CZU Men’s Crew

The men’s team of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague repeated last year’s success in the university eights race at the Prague Mayor’s Eights Regatta. Although they did not reach the top spot, they delivered an excellent performance, won a well-deserved second place. This year, the Charles University crews became the kings of the university eights. Rector Michal Lošťák and the Head of the Department of Physical Education, Dušan Vavrla, were also there to support our team.

Garden Party: An Opportunity for All Generations to Meet

Every year in mid-June, the CZU campus becomes a place where alumni of several generations recall their student years during ceremonial graduation events. In the afternoon, everyone with a connection to the university comes together to enjoy the Garden Party. This event is a symbolic gateway to summer. This year, it will take place on Saturday, 13 June.
